I have worked with Psychiatry Residency and Medical Education since 2006. I was the coordinator for the previous UW Psychiatry Residency Spokane Track. I returned as the Psychiatry residency coordinator in 2014. I have worked in the medical field in various capacities since 1973. My hometown is Dayton, Ohio and I moved to Spokane, Washington in 1997 as most of my family is now located in Washington State.
I love coming into work every day as we have such a wonderful group of faculty, residents and staff to work with. They make each day fun and exciting! I love to see the residents growing as they go through each PGY year. It is always so rewarding to see them growing into such awesome Psychiatry physicians!
Outside of work, my hobbies include dining out with friends, spending time with my family and watching British TV.
I was born and raised in Spokane. We lived for a time in the Seattle & Portland area, but I missed Spokane and we moved back home. I love the beauty and the four seasons here in Spokane. There is always something to do in the area. I have always liked helping people and the medical field is a great place to do that. I previously worked for Internal Medicine Residency/Spokane Teaching Health Clinic as a scheduler. I like hiking, biking, swimming and hanging out with my husband, our two sons and our friends. I was raised to have faith, work hard and treat everyone with kindness and that’s what I try to do every day.

I was born in Fort Carson, Colorado Springs and raised in Spokane. I attended Whitworth University and obtained a BLS with a major in Social Work. I also have a nursing assistant certification. I have always had a heart for helping others and working in the psychiatry department enables me to work with a variety of patients. I enjoy being able to witness our patients getting the help they need. I’m interestedin anything to do with social work with for the homeless, disabled or the elderly. I used to be an office manager/supervisor for an in home care agency. We cared for DDD, elderly, disabled and children with special needs. I enjoy the staff and the constant looking for a better way of helping others. I like Spokane because it is green and not too hot. Outside of work, I like to take care of my family, read, crochet, and watch movies.

Before working in psychiatry as a CMA, I worked as a CMA in an OB/GYN office. I really enjoy the patients that I get to know and helping to care for them.
