Jake Adkins, from Coulee Dam, WA is with us this year. He attended medical school in Richmond at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He is going into Radiology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. Being an avid fisherman and skier, Spokane is the right place for him to be.
Kanika Agarwal is from Los Angeles. She attended The Commonwealth Medical College in Pennsylvania for medical school. She will be moving on to Ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and aspires to pursue a career in Ocular Oncology. Kanika enjoys photography, live music, trying new restaurants, skiing, and playing competitive tennis.
Alex Beazer is from Washington. He was born at Sacred Heart! His hobbies include watching movies, is an AASI Certified snowboard instructor and certified scuba diver. He most enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He will be going to University of Arizona South Campus for Ophthalmology at the end of this year.
Nadia (Lapik) Bolton is from Spokane. She went to Pacific University of Health Sciences in Yakima for medical school. She plays the accordion, likes to bake, assembles furniture and loves doing activities with her husband. She is going to Chicago and Ophthalmology at Cook County Health residency.
Peter Boothman is from Yakima. He is married with children and is glad to be staying close to home for this year. He enjoys gourmet baking, outdoor activities and being with his family. He will be going into Dermatology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Kelly Dea was born in Denver and comes to us from Rocky Vista University. She did undergrad at the University of Puget Sound and has wanted to come back to the Pacific Northwest since. She loves sports, travel and photography. She will be going into Radiology at the University of Nebraska.
Tyler Doornink is from Yakima, also. He went to Pacific Northwest University in Yakima for medical school. He enjoys most outdoor sports in all seasons and spending time with his wife. He is enjoying being close to family while in Spokane this year. He is ggoing into PM&R at UC Irvine.
Ryne Dougherty is from Missoula, MT. (Yes he was names after Ryne Sandberg). He went to Mayo Medical School. He will be going into Radiology at the University of Michigan. Ryne loves spending time with his family, fly fishing, tying flies, pretty much anything outdoors and reading. He, too, is closer to home for this year of training.
David Felsted in from Indiana and has spent many years in Utah. He went to the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. David matched for Ophthalmology at Augusta University in Georgia. He is devoted to his family of three children and loves snowboarding, hiking or biking. He will have time to enjoy those activities while here this year.
Eric Gray came to us from Loma Linda. Originally from Salt Lake City, he is good at impersonations, running and rock climbing, volunteer work and spending time with his wife. He will be staying in Spokane to complete Radiology at Sacred Heart.
Joshua Gruhl is from Lincoln, Nebraska. He went to the University there and is going into Radiation Oncology at the University of Utah. His hobbies are fly-fishing, snowboarding/skiing, triathlons, adventure races, etc. He will be using those flies on the beautiful streams in and around Spokane.
Matthew Kapeles is from Casper, Wyoming. He enjoys all types of sports, outdoor activities, and playing guitar. He went to University of Washington for medical school and will be going into Ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
John Kim's hometown is Las Vegas, Nevada. He went to the University in Reno for medical school and will be heading to the University of Wisconsin in Madison for radiology. He plays the guitar, likes anything to do with driving and fixing cars, and playing video games.
Sam Plesner is from Idaho Falls, ID. He went to school at Rocky Vista Osteopathic School in Colorado. Since childhood he has enjoyed fishing inland and deep sea, skiing, hiking and skydiving. He likes to travel, too. Sam is going into Radiology here in the Sacred Heart Radiology program.
Megan Prouty comes to us from Oklahoma and the University in Oklahoma City. She will be going into Dermatology at Kansas University in Kansas City, Kansas. She into baking, strategic board games, gardening and sci-fi fantasy novels.
Andrea Rea is from Auburn, WA. She went to University of Washington and will be heading back there for Dermatology. Hobbies include spending time with her husband, astrophotography, sewing, painting, archery, playing piano and outdoor activities.
Kabir Suri is also from Las Vegas and went to the University of Nevada. He is going into Radiology at USC when finished here. Kabir plays the violin, likes playing basketball, rock-climbing, weights and skiing and hiking.
Landon Woolf was born in Gilbert, Arizona. He went to Indiana University for medical school. He matched in Anesthesia at the University of Utah. He is totally committed to his wife and children and loves BYU football. He likes golf, basketball, food, running and travel.
